David Godfrey-Thomas

David Godfrey-Thomas is Chief Executive Officer of Afina International, a business building and investment team partnering with companies seeking growth in the pursuit of innovations throughout the human-environmental ecology, including the enviro-nutritional food cycle from consumer food products, food technology and human nutrition to water solutions and scalable regenerative agriculture. David is also Co-Founder and Board Director of Nurture Capital, Afina’s ecotechnologies investment arm and a Board Director of Allagi Biotechnology, a microalgal-based synthetic biology business developing plant-based pharmaceuticals and foods of the future

Prior to co-founding Afina in 2011, Mr. Godfrey-Thomas worked extensively throughout Europe and the Americas as a special advisor and consultant on Latin American strategy to multilateral organizations, including the Organization of American States, and to international institutions, corporations and private sector clients in a broad variety of sectors ranging from the development of new cross border trade capabilities for international remittances, to the development of alternative vehicle manufacturing capabilities for Britain’s iconic London Taxi. Mr. Godfrey-Thomas began his career in London at Darwin’s, a financial services firm, where he led the firm’s first international expansions into Africa and the US. Mr. Godfrey-Thomas was born and educated in England.
