Codex Alimentarius has been helping develop global regulatory standards, procedures and guidance to enable implementation of common regulations for food safety and global trade for 60 years.  IFT has been an observer and influencer at Codex for 30 of those years!   During this session, IFT is bringing together a panel to discuss major Codex topics, with expertise from the UN FAO Codex organization, the US Codex Office, the Food Industry Codex Coalition, and hosted by two long-term IFT Codex observer participants.

The panel will address topics impacting the global regulatory arena such as food safety (contaminants, additives, pesticides, practices), food nutrition, food labeling, sustainable food production, and the implications of innovative new food technologies among others.

The session will include panelists engaging with the audience on some of the topics they would like to address related to Codex.  Come learn more about what’s happening on global regulatory standards and guidance and how it might impact you.
